The AST A5-S-EXL is a specially engineered infrared Aluminum Scanning pyrometer designed for non-contact temperature measurement of aluminum and other shiny surfaces. Special Considerations for Glossy Surfaces

When measuring shiny or metallic areas at low temperatures, it is essential to shade the measurement zone to prevent interference from external light sources. This ensures stable and accurate readings.

Additionally, the technical specifications are based on measurements taken in front of a black body. When measuring glossy surfaces, expect the minimum measurable temperature to be higher.

At temperatures below 80°C, the pyrometer automatically switches to single-wavelength mode, using a preset emissivity value to ensure continued accuracy.
