The A5-S-IN Infrared Aluminum Scanning Pyrometer, developed by AST, is a specially designed multi-wavelength infrared sensor. It enables accurate, non-contact temperature measurement in aluminum processing environments.
This advanced, plug-and-play pyrometer operates using an application-specific database. Developed through years of industry experience, the database ensures exceptional accuracy across various use cases. Moreover, the A5-S-IN uses specialized algorithms to calculate both the true temperature and surface emissivity, even in challenging industrial conditions.
Reliable Performance Across Multiple Applications
Thanks to its ability to store multiple application databases, the A5-S-IN allows fast switching between different aluminum processes. These include molten metal, extruded profiles, rolled surfaces, continuous casting, billets, and slabs. All of these can be measured using a single instrument, making it a highly versatile tool for aluminum production.
Smart Features for Easy Setup and Control
For precise alignment, the pyrometer is equipped with a laser pointer that is perfectly aligned with the detector. This guarantees that both point at the same spot, even over long distances.
In addition, the A5-S-IN supports Bluetooth communication, allowing users to easily connect it to Android smartphones or laptops. As a result, temperature monitoring, parameter adjustments, database selection, and data logging become fast and convenient
